protocol error

    Hello Gurus

    I am having SFV210 . This is my NIS Master server. Suddenly i couldnt
    able to login to that server. Rlogin doesnt work, shows protocol error.
    But when i try to ping , it pings and system is on the network. Somehow
    i logged in to the server but now i couldnt run any command. Sometimes
    it works and sometimes it doesnt...showing " no processes" .

    I am analysing the problem...if anybody had faced this kind of problem
    before..your suggestion will be appreciated.
