    Dear managers,

    A user is unable to open most files via file manager with the following
    error:
    The request to service this action has failed for the following reason:
    TT_DESKTOP_ENOENT no such file or directory.
    Eventhough the path looks alright in the user's home directory. Where should
    I look for possible causes of this error?

By installing them in your home directory, I also mean that *you* download ... The only reason why I would think a sysadmin would discourage it is if 200 students installed the same module, then 200 times the diskspace would be used...multiply this by the number of modules the class needs; for this reason, I can see why a sysadmin would discourage even a local installation... ...
