    We have a Sun Enterprise 220R (2 X UltraSPARC-II 450MHz) running Solaris 7
11/99 that just hang. It was not pingnable and application were not
responding. When plugging the console into the serial port it was not
possible to get the login prompt. CDROM and hard disk lights were flashing
    (very strange ?!?!)

After a manuel shutdown and a correct reboot syslogs are empty of anyway
error messages(see /etc/syslog.conf file below for syslog config) and
    serveur is running fine.

I am trying to understand what happenned to the server...

Do any of you ever get this problem with a Sun server ?
What can I do ? (I was planning to run SunVTS to get sure hardware is ok)

    # cat /etc/syslog.conf
    #
    *.debug /var/adm/messages
    *.debug @loghost
    *.emerg *
    #
