E250 very busy

    Dear guys,
    I am having problem with an E250 machine running Solaris 8. There is a CommuniGate Pro 3.8 running on that machine.
    All incoming and outgoing SMTP connections pass through an SMTP gateway machine which is Ultra5 running solaris 8 also.
    the following shos you the sar and vmstat outputs

    what is causing the machine to be heavily busy? is is a hardware or software issue?
