I do it this:

Edit the file /usr/openwin/lib/speckeysd.map

Just uncomment:

#SunPowerSwitch - $OPENWINHOME/bin/sys-suspend
#SunPowerSwitchShift - $OPENWINHOME/bin/sys-suspend -n

kill and restart speckeysd.

# kill -HUP PID-of-speckeysd
