Packed decimal conversions in Soalris.

    Hello Gurus,

    I am doing FTP from mainframe system to Unix system. The source file has
    packed decimal notation. When I do FTP the Source is converted
    automatically ( or using dd command) into ASCII but I have all junk
    values for packed decimal fields.

    Please advice me how should I do FTP so the I can convert the packed
    decimals into Unix( solaris ) readable form.
