Slow download speed

    Hello,

    I get more or less 60kb/sec (i.e. close to modem speed) when downloading
    files from
    one solaris server to another. Just to be able to ftp our daily archive
    to
    takes about 50 mins. there is plenty of idle CPU in both machines.
    What can be affecting the speed of the ftp ?

    The network speed is 100Mbps at full-duplex
