    Hi,

we're planning to use Sun Storage 3510FC as a shared disk for our
Oracle 9i RAC databases. Cluster software will be Sun Cluster 3.1u1.
Nodes will be SunFire 480's each with 8192 MB RAM and 4x1.2 GHz CPU.

The performance optimization of our array is set to S. ( Sequential
I/O). I've read that for Databases and Transaction-Based Applications it
should be set to random I/O.

Our database will be OLTP. How will this setting impact our response
time performance? Is there any other -- Storage related -- performance
    setting to reduce response time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Murat
