UPDATE: proc directory

    Hi,

    Thanks for all your responses. Realised that sometimes you really need to
    re-read
    what you have written and ensure you cover everything.

    I understand that proc is a virtual filesystem, df -k shows '0' (zero).

    However, ls -ld /proc, reveals the following.
    dr-xr-xr-x 167 root root 249024 Oct 28 19:04 /proc

    It's this 249024, which is of concern, why is it so large for a simple
    directory?
