    Hi;

    I'd like some feedback on the following. First, I'd like to separate
    /tmp from swap. In the current configuration I have six available
    disks. I'd like to format them the following way: O/S disk + mirror,
    whole disk one partition. Swap disk + mirror, whole disk one
    partition. Tmp disk + mirror, whole disk one partition.

    I know the above may look a little expensive in disk use, but
    application requirements are such that the additional tmp (and
    separation from swap) would be beneficial.

    Questions: Does anyone have a sample vfstab with separate /tmp and swap ?
    I know the performance hit to be had when making /tmp a real
    filesystem, so is there anything stopping me from making /tmp a tmpfs
    file system ? Would that conflict with swap being a tmpfs file system
    ?

    Any Input appreciated. I will summarize.
