    Hi All,

To follow from my q of yesterday ( to SUM )

I am getting following when starting my cluster , can someone point to
    issue ?

    TAG_C 2004/11/25 14:19:34 (ora1-new)
    VCS:138512:DiskGroup:oracledg:monitor:oracledg not imported with the
    correct options

    TAG_C 2004/11/25 14:19:34 (ora1-new)
    VCS:138513:DiskGroup:oracledg:monitor:Offlining Group oracle that Disk
    Group oracledg belongs to

So my disks are not mouting under the cluster.

    TIA

    Laurence

    ...............

    Hi All,

    Appologies if OT,

    But

I am building a clustered env for oracle,

    2 x V240 with 2 x 3310 raid scsi connected.

    Installed vxfs/vxvm and vcs

Question is, i have greated my rootdg, and mirrored it ( with the two
internal disks ( on both servers )

Now im building the volumes for oracle to use ( on the 3310;s )

I'm going to add the whole of the first 3310 as an oracle diskgroup on
node1, and then split to volumes - /dev/vx/dsk/oradg/oradata,
    dev/vx/dsk/oradg/oralogs etc

then plex with the disks on the 2nd 3310 to mirror them.

vx will know about these and display with vxprint

how will veritas on node2 know about these ?

do i have to repeat this operation on the other node ? - or when my vcs
is configured - will this handle the volumes ?

    Thanks

    laurence
