    Hi,

I have installed a Quad Gigaswift ethernet in a Sunblade 1000 running
    Solaris 8.
I want to connect this system diretly to another system (HP Workstation).
As far as I4ve read, I can do this using an ordinary UTP cable (cat5).
I4ve followed all instructions but I can4t ping the systems.
All IP addresses are ok and on the same subnet.

Is there someting else to be aware of ?

     Thanks,

     Silvio
