    Hello everyone,

I have a question about Solstice Online disk suite and seeing
volumes when booted from a CD. A few months ago a fellow
sun-mangers reader, Remy Zandwijk, said that it could be done. I
tried it on a test system and was successful. However, when I
actually "needed" to see the volumes, I could not get it to work. I
think my configuration was slightly at fault. It was a V880 with
disk slots 0 and 1 vacant and the boot disks in slots 2 and 3. My
goal is have both a Solaris 9 boot (disk disks 0 and 1) environment
and a Solaris 8 environment (on 2 and 3). The system is up and
running Solaris 8 mirroring root on disks 2 and 3 with the Meta
databases on the seventh partition of each of the disks. When I
boot from the Solaris 9 CDs, I cannot get the Meta devices
running. Does anyone know how to get Solaris the Solaris 9 CDs to
find the Meta databases? There has to be a way to do this as
somewhere Solaris 9 typically figures it out and gives the Meta
databases a hint and starts disk suite; I just don't think it is
    looking in the right spot

Thanks and I will summarize should I get any noteworthy
    responses.
