Hello Sun Managers!,
I have a question regarding IP Multipathing:
I'm working on a Sun system that has at least 4 NICS. I want to setup 2
Multipathing groups each with 1 VIP and two physical interfaces. In this
case both primary IP addresses (for example a, b) have to be on different
subnets. The machine will not be configured as a router.
It's my understanding that IPMP expects an ICMP response from the
defaultrouter in order to work. How should we configure the
defaultrouter(s)? We don't want to implement in.routed/in.rdisk. Is there a
requirement to specify the defaultroute per interface?
Subnet A (192.168.10.x)
(eri0) a1--
--a (failover virtual interface eri0:1 or qfe0:1)
(qfe0) a2--
Subnet B (192.168.20.x)
(eri1) b1--
--b (failover virtual interface eri1:1 or qfe1:1)
(qfe1) b2--
Any help on this would be great!
