Hi all - using Solaris' bundled ppp which includes pppoe support.
I got pppoe working OK for the most part. However, I have a few issues:
1) DNS - I get the DNS servers but it doesn't put it in the right spot.
Now I know this part can be scripted with an ip-up script; however, when I
do a manual move it does seem to take effect. Do I need to HUP a service to
reread /etc/resolv.conf? In the past I never worried about it...it always
seemed to work as long as there was a resolv.conf already there on bootup.
2) How do I hang up the pppoe connection? I can't seem to find that
command.
3) The "persist" option....should that be in the options file or the "peer"
file? The man page indicates the option file; however, usepeerdns needs to
be in the peer file. How can I ensure that the persist option is taking
effect?
Thanks,
Marco
