I've just upgraded an Ultra-60, Ultra-5, and a Blade-100 from the August
patch cluster to the Dec/20/04 Recommended Patch Cluster. Upon reboot
I get errors like
Dec 21 14:49:27 myhost krtld: [ID 995402 kern.notice] /platform/sun4u/kernel/drv/sparcv9/rmclomv: undefined symbol 'pmugpio_watchdog_pat'
Dec 21 14:49:27 myhost krtld: [ID 472681 kern.notice] WARNING: mod_load: cannot load module 'rmclomv'
Dec 21 14:49:27 myhost krtld: [ID 995402 kern.notice] /platform/sun4u/kernel/drv/sparcv9/rmcadm: undefined symbol 'pmugpio_reset'
Dec 21 14:49:27 myhost krtld: [ID 472681 kern.notice] WARNING: mod_load: cannot load module 'rmcadm'
This appears to be a side effect of new modules introduced by
patch 113679-07 which is part of the recommended cluster. Has anyone
else seen this? The messages don't appear to be fatal or anything,
but its not the kind of stuff I like to see at every boot, so I would
like to find some way to stop the attempts at loading LOM code on systems
that have no LOM hardware.
Thanks,
Ric Anderson (ric@opus1.com)
