    Dear sunmanagers,

    Can anyone give me hints of how to configure /kernel/drv/scsi_vhci.conf so
    that a solaris box with multiple HBA can do multipath (and load-balance) fcp
    connection to multiple ports (let's say 2 ports) on external storage, e.g.
    HP XP-1024. The connection itself routed through Brocade SAN switches.

    Here's more detailed situation:
    A single LUN created from the storage were exported to both ports (storage
    ports) and connected to both host's HBA, resulting in 4 disk (ap_id) seen on
    the solaris box.
    The format utilities also show 4 disk, which actually pointing to the same
    LUN.

    After trying to configure scsi_vhci.conf by adding:

    device-type-scsi-options-list =
    "HP OPEN-V -SUN", "symmetric-option";
    symmetric-option = 0x1000000;

    to the last line, I managed to reduce disk list into only 2 multipathed fcp
    connection (now the disk list on format utilities shown with /scsi_vhci/..
    path).

    CMIIW, but it seemed to me that scsi_vhci only understands multipathed
    connections to host's HBA, but cannot do multipath connection on storage
    side.

    Any hints to configure it so that finally the disk list show only 1 LUN as
    configured on storage?

    TIA,
    -denisz-
