how to cancel a pending shutdown command?

    hello all,
    this morning a terrible thing happened ;)

    i had given a "shutdown immediate" command to an oracle instance
    via svrmgrl.
    since no reply came, i decided to type that command in again.
    before hitting enter, svrmgrl had returned to the unix shell
    and the "shutdown immediate" command went right to solaris.

    which, in turn, answered "system will come down in 1 minute"
    or so.

    aargh. i could just kill myself the very same second.
    panic. the machine is far away. i cannot just send someone there
    to restart the thing in a short time.

    i had no idea of how to cancel such a command, so the only thing
    that fell in my mind was to give the command again, this time
    on purpose:

    shutdown -i 6 -g 10000

    so at least now i gained some time. but i cannot find any information
    (archives, google, man's) as to how to cancel such a pending
    shutdown command.

    can anybody help me out of how to "cancel" such a pending
    shutdown request? shouldn't it be possible to change my
    mind and not having the machine reboot?
