Solaris 8 Installer Command

I'm was doing a solaris 8 upgrade from 04/00 to 02/04 and the installer
returned to the prompt# without finishing.
I think it's because it didn't mount /var to /a/var
if i reboot and boot from the cdrom, then i'll be stuck with /var not
mounted.
anyway... i'd like to re-run the installer since i now have /var mounted
to /a/var like it should be.
How do i restart the solaris 8 installer from a shell prompt?
