    Guys,

    I've attached a StorEdge 3510 to two SUN V240s running
    Solaris 8.
    All of the extra patches have been installed and I
    can find the new drives in the output of the format
    command:

    Searching for disks...done

    c3t40d0: configured with capacity of 68.11GB
    c3t40d1: configured with capacity of 68.11GB
    c3t40d2: configured with capacity of 68.11GB

    I also want to configure multipathing on this
    storage, but my problem is that I can't find the
    controller in the cfgadm

    # cfgadm -al
    Ap_Id Type Receptacle
      Occupant Condition
    c0 scsi-bus connected
      configured unknown
    c0::dsk/c0t0d0 CD-ROM connected
      configured unknown
    c1 scsi-bus connected
      configured unknown
    c1::dsk/c1t0d0 disk connected
      configured unknown
    c1::dsk/c1t1d0 disk connected
      configured unknown
    c2 scsi-bus connected
      unconfigured unknown

    I enabled the multipathing in scsi_vhci.conf and
    issued the stmsboot -e command but instead of
    rebooting
    the box, it just sent an error message saying the
    /dev/md/dsk/d0 is not a supported format.
    The root drives are in mirror.

    The only document I found about configuring
    multipathing
    is the next one, but it talks about Solaris 10...
    http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0139/ConfiguringMultipathing.html

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,

    John
