backup problem

    hi...we are having problems with our backups for a while now....our oracle database is around 20tb.....we are using netbackup 5.1....we are using multuplexing to improve of speed of backup.....even though our restoration time is crazy....we are planning to implement ndmp as well to improve performance....some of our backups fails......and our throughput to the drives is very low b'cos some volume that we back up have thousands of files....right now we are able to backup approx 2 to 2.5tb per day.....can anbody suggest any tools that could increase our through put....if any of you have suggestion i would really appreciate it.
