Hi folks,
we are using a modified Solaris 9 Boot-CD for our disaster recovery
concept. In case of a disaster, we boot from the CD and recreate all
md-devices and filesystems followed by a complete restore of the data.
This works quite fine for Solaris 9 systems, but we encounter massive
problems by using this concept for Solaris 8 machines. It seems that
Solaris 8 (SDS 4.2.1) can not handle the state databases written by the
Solaris 9 instance that was used for the recovery.
Do you have an idea how i can solve this issue (without creating another
CD for Solaris 8)?
thanks in advance,
Andreas Octav
