Dear SunManagers,
I'm trying to build a Disaster recovery machine on a Sun 3500. The system
i'm replicating has Veritas Volume Manager which isn't available on the
second machine, this problem isn't blocking as i can use soft-partitions.
The problem is after a reboot the created soft partition can't be used, as
it looks like it isn't intialized:
bash-2.03# metastat d101
metastat: servername: d101: unit not set up
but recreating the softpartitions has unexpected results...
bash-2.03# metainit d101 -p c1t0d0s0 2Gb
metainit: servername: d101: unit already set up
in fact /etc/lvm/md.cf has a line for the d101 soft-partition.
Running Solaris 8 with latest patch cluster and latest DiskSuite patch
Any help or hint would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Luca
