We are considering doing some fairly extensive syslog message
redirection
to a central log host system.
I am interested in hearing some opinions from any folks out there who
have
done this as to specifically:
- What different message categories do you send to the loghost? Do
you send
every message type, or just certain ones, and which ones?
- What kind of loads are you seeing on the loghost, and on your network
as a result of redirecting messages to a central loghost?
Any thoughts on this appreciated.
