We just had a critical Sparc 10 die, most likely hard drive failure.
Running SunOS 4.1.x (don't ask...legacy hardware interface with very
old and expensive electron microscope).
I have another Sparc 10 system with an empty 2GB system drive, and I
have filesystem dumps from my dead system, using 'dump', stored
on an NFS volume.
I know how to do this under Solaris, but can anyone help me get
started with how to restore these filesystems under SunOS?
I apologize for not doing an exhaustive search before posting this
question...mea culpa...but I'm really under the gun and need to get
this done yesterday.
I'll be sure to post my procedures for this in any event, I know it
will prove useful to others.
