I have an old E4000 (Solaris 8), which is reporting the wrong CPU speed
with prtdiag, and psrinfo. Does anyone know why this might be?

    It reports:

    ========================= CPUs =========================

                        Run Ecache CPU CPU
Brd CPU Module MHz MB Impl. Mask
    --- --- ------- ----- ------ ------ ----
     0 0 0 496 1.0 US-II 1.1
     0 1 1 496 1.0 US-II 1.1
     4 8 0 496 1.0 US-II 1.1
     4 9 1 496 1.0 US-II 1.1

when I know the CPUs are 250MHz.

    The machine contains:
    CPU Modules:
    CPU 04 REB 53CEL 2297
    System Boards:
    501-4178
    501-2976

I haven't got the clock board part no. (is there any way of getting
    remotely?)

    Thanks

    john
