We have Solaris 8 servers, with recent patch levels, which we may want to use
to access NFS exports which are presented from a NetApp FAS960 filer device.
The version of NFS used at the NetApp appliance end is version 4 because we
need to have full ACL functionality and it is only version 4 of their NFS
    emulation which offers this.

There is the option to upgrade the clients to Solaris 10 but that doesn't fit
into the current time frame of the need to migrate the data from the current
location on to the NAS solution.

Our preferred solution is to be able to give the Solaris 8 clients full NFS v4
compatibility, either through patches or packages or both.

Does anyone know if this is possible or are we facing the upgrade to 10

    Appreciated

    Chris
