Query regarding a kernel parameter on Solaris!!

    Dear Sun Managers,

    We request you to help us out by answering the following query at the
    earliest.
    We are having a telecom product working on SunOS 5.8 (Solaris 9) as well as on
    HP-UX11i.
    A particular application in the product that had been running fine on the
    HP-UX system by setting the kernel
    parameter "STREAMPIPES" to 1 ( setting "streampipes" to 1 forces all pipes to
    be streams-based ) was migrated to the Solaris sytem.
    But on this system, the application failed to run because on Solaris, no
    kernel parameter equivalent to "StreamPipes" has been found at our end.

    We request you to let us know if such a kernel parameter does exist on
    Solaris.
    Else please let us know about the workaround for the problem.
