Hello, list,
The new Sun Fire X2100's boast RAID 1 and 0 capabilities in the BIOS.
Has someone used these capabilities of the chip?
Is it real hardware block-by-block RAID, or does it use the OS's soft RAID?
Can it send mail to remote location if one of the drives fail in a RAID
1 configuration?
Is it possible to monitor it from another machine on the Network, like
for ewample with IBM's ServeRAID Manager?
These servers seem to be a really good price/value, but I have trouble
finding detailed specs cocerning this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Rami
