We have Solaris 9 server running Java applications. Recently got a query
from developer about how much memory is used by a single file descriptors.
The Java application is opening lot of files and application works ok with
around file descriptor value of 5000 (set up using ulimit command under ksh
shell).
But I am just looking if that will cause any kind of memory problem on
server as we are running lot of java application on that server.
Any idea, will summarize.
Thanks,
