    Hello,

I found very few issues and details for setting up networker and ACSLS in
google, etc. and I hope that the question is appropriate for this list.

We have a License for SunStorEdge EnterpriseBackup 7.2 aka Legato Networker
for Solaris with the options Turbopak and Autochanger/16 slots. We had
before a 7 DLT Autochanger Stacker (with Solstice Backup 5.1) and now we
want to setup Networker with Storagetek Libraries, which are controlled by
    an ACSLS server.

I have tried SUN Solstice Backup 7.2 + patch 116832-02 and also Networker
7.2.1 from the legato.com Webpage and installed all provided packages
(Client, Storage Node, Storage Server, etc), but a jbconfig fails with
"unable to connect to ACSLS server acsls".

    - The Networker licenses are okay and valid. Probably the 16 slots license
will not be sufficiant for a big >600 slot SILO, but I thought that
Networker could at least recognise the Library.

    - This happens also with the evaluation license.

    - I can ping the ACSLS Server.

    - The ACSLS Server is Version 7.0 and is also in use with SUN SAMFS.

    - There are currently no library drives connected to the Server. Only one
    local DLT700 is available.

What could I do to to make Networker connect to ACSLS?

    * Do I need to reconfigure the ACSLS Server?

    * Do I need some other Legato License to make it work with ACSLS?

    * Bonus Question: Is it possible to use Legato Networker and SAMFS with
ACSLS at the same time (but of course with different tape pools)? :-)

If the tape drives are connected to some other Server, I guess I will need
    some Storage Node License too...
