I recently had/have a problem with a hard drive in a v440, going
offline/online frequently(every 8 seconds in the syslog). In the syslog
it's showing kern.warning and kern.error messages about the drive.
However, srsnetconnect never sent me an email and when I login to
netconnect it doesn't show the system having any errors, drive related or
otherwise. I performed a logger -p user.error Fan Removed - test... and
it emailed me and showed up on the monitoring page.... Does anything need
to be set to have it realize that kern.error and kern.warning are
errors????? I want netconnect to alert me to hardware errors, it has done
this with other systems, but it doesn't send them on kern.warning. I did
the same logger -p test with kern.error and kern.warning facilities and it
still doesn't email... but user.error does....Anyone know how to change
netconnect or experienced this... Will summarize...
