add a disk in a server with vmsa

I have an E3500 with 8 disk and I need to probe another disk. I would to
take off 3 disk that are in RAID 5 in the E3500 and put the disk in one of
this free spaces.
How I makVERITAS Volume Manager e this?
Do I put in an offline mode the 3 disk before I power off the E3500 and take
off this disks?
When I power on the E3500, how I can see the disk that I need probe?
Can I mount this disk only since the /etc/vfstab, without the vmsa? I only
need mount 2 file systems for this disk that I may probe.

thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english. AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR
ALL OF YOU!!! Ceci.
