x4100 Raid Controller

I discovered that the raid controller does not have an
audible alarm. Furthermore if you are running Windows, the
only indication of a disk failure is an event 11 in the log.
This seems a little weak for a 'server'. The LSI mystorage
utility will monitor the controller if you are logged in and
have the application open. Still not sufficient enough in an
enterprise. Does anyone have any other solutions?
Thanks, David
