solaris 9 patch has hosed ssh

I just installed a patch sun cluster patch on my 4500 running solaris 9.
This seems to have hosed up ssh. The original error was:

unable to initialize mechanism library [/usr/lib/gss/gl/mech_krb5.so]
xmalloc: zero size

I applied some changes I found at some sites:

http://sysadmintalk.com/showthread.php?s=854b2cf65ec527c9d83c88ce4ea1123

239cca69e17f21/8767a85308aee21d?lnk=raot&hl=en

And this fixed the original error. However some of my users are unable
to use ssh still because it won't resolve hostnames. This is only a
select group of users who belong to one group. All other groups are
fine. As soon as I put any member of that group into my group they work
fine.

All groups were fine before the patch. Anyone have any ideas what may
be causing this? I know it's a permission issue somewhere, but I've
looked everywhere.
