Hi all,
Sun is recommending two patches to deal with Daylight Savings Changes
next year. One patch is for POSIX timezones and the other for Zoneinfo
Timezones ie;
Patch 119689-07 incorporates the fix for "U.S. Energy Policy Act of
2005" for POSIX timezones, whereas Patch 122032-01 incorporates the fix
for "U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005" for zoneinfo timezones.
We use TIMEZONE=UTC and TIMEZONE=America/Cayman which I believe are
zoneinfo timezones. Can someone confirm this or give an example of a
POSIX timezone.
Reason I don't want to load both is because I have production systems
out there that have the patch for zoneinfo timezones and not the POSIX
patch and if I don't use POSIX timezones why take the downtime to load
it?
Thanks for any help.
