SunFire X4200 Configuration question (more info)

I forgot to mention in my original post about how to use the built in
RIAD controller on the X4200 that I will be installing Red Hat
Enterprise ES Linux onto this box.

Can I still use the built in hardware RAID controller on the X4200 with
Red Hat Linux?
If not should I use Rd Hat's strip/mirror mechanism during the Red Hat
OS installation procedure?

Thank You.
