Hi:
I have Solaris 10 (nv49) running under XP-VMWare Server (but it just as well
could have been run under Linux-VMWare Server - so the following question
applies
to both emulations).
Anyone have a step-by-step for the following questions:
(1) How do I edit the "*.vmx" file in XP and/or "/kernel/drv" config (and
perhaps other
Solaris) files so that I can get Solaris to see USB or FireWire disk drives
that are
attached to the host computer (a laptop in my case).
Basically, I'd like to be able to do a "format -e(1M)" (or fdisk(1M)) under
Solaris and
see these external devices.
(2) The same question applies to additional NIC interfaces (I have an extra
one
that I'd like Solaris to see).
Thanks In Advance.
~Noel
