boot from dual layer dvd ??

Hi everyone,

I've create two flar archive which I'd like to integrate in a bootable
DVD-image, so a "boot cdrom - install" will do the whole work for me to
install the box.
This is no problem if a flar is 4GB or less. While the mini-Solaris
consumes about 200MB the mkisofs will not accept files larger 4GB.
To solve this, I simply created two flar's to be included in the iso
file.
I used the folowing command: mkisofs -R -d -L -sparc-boot s10u1.s1
s10u1.s2 s10u1.s3 s10u1.s4 s10u1.s5 -o dvd-comp.iso s10u2.s0
I ended up with an iso image of aprox. 6.2 GB. A few warnings about
truncated filenames but nothing crucial ...
I burned the image to a dual-side dvd (8,5GB) and tried to boot from it
which failes.
You can lofi and mount the iso image without problems. All files are
visible. But when you put in the DVD you can't see any file at all.
I tried this on two different sun machines as well an on my Windows
Notebook. But I cant see any files.

As you might noticed, Ihaven used the -udf switch. All images I tried
before - which where below the 4.5 GB level - failed to be bootable.
If I use the -udf switch to create such an archive could it be bootable
?? Is it - generaly spoken - possible to create a bootable dual-layer
DVD ??
Had anyone dealed whith this toppic in the past ? Any advices or
suggestions ??

TIA

Martin
