Thanks to abdul mannan, and alexresun,
I ran "iostat -En" to determine the device id. I also tried rebooting
the machine with "boot -r".It turned out the cdrom was bad. I just
wanted to make sure I did not miss anything.
Thank you,
JP

Subject: Cannot get cdrom to mount in Solaris 9
All,
I am just trying to get a cdrom to mount in one of my solaris 9
machines. At OBP it sees the cdrom. Then when the system is up the
system will not automount the cdrom. This was working about a month ago.
I have stopped and restarted /etc/init.d/volmgt and then I run volcheck
-v . It gives me the error no media found. I have rebooted the machine
with boot -r. All with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
JP
