6800 console access issue

We have a 6800 connect via a serial term server only for console access.
When we are trying to connect to the console we just hang. It's a
single domain we booted the server blind and were able to see the boot
up process via the console but still unable to connect to the domain
from the system controller.
We are running Veritas Cluster for Oracle. Single domain. We killed the
tty for the console from the domain but it didn't spawn again but we are
able to get a console login but when you tried to log into the console
received the following error message:
Warning -- ttymon cannot allocate controlling tty on "/dev/console",
there may be another session active on this port.
We did fuser /dev/console and have a lot of process to the port but no
console line.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
