Moving lpd server from one Solaris 8 computer toi another

I am attempting to move my lpd printer server from one Solaris 8
computer to another.
tcpwrapper is reporting:
... in.lpd[3191]: [ID 947420 mail.warning] refused connect from 0.0.0.0
I've checked /etc/hosts.deny and /etc/hosts.allow.
As a test I (temporarily) added 0.0.0.0 to /etc/hosts.allow and
printing works as expected with the connect message reported in syslog
for 0.0.0.0.
What am I missing?
