vxdmp found incorrect SAN type

Hello Sun Managers,

This is not exactly a Sun question but I'm hoping there are some Sol8 &
Veritas DMP Gurus out there as well. I've already opened a ticket at
Symantec but they respond way slower than Gurus at sunmanagers :-).

I'm running SunOS server1 5.8 Generic_117350-44 sun4us sparc
FJSV,GPUZC-M & Veritas Volume Manager 5.0 + DMP on a Fujitsu-Siemens
PW450. The box is connected to an EVA8000 array via FC zoning. So far
the vxdmp has found the array types just fine but today something
unexpected happened.

As I had presented a disk from EVA to the server and vxdisk scanned new
disks it found a new array type!

Mar 5 16:19:05 server1 vxdmp: [ID 803759 kern.notice] NOTICE: VxVM
vxdmp V-5-0-34 added disk array 0000F, datype = XP10K-12K

Datype = XP10k? XP10000 is another type of array from HP and I'm
absolutely sure that we don't have any of those. So, now my disks look
like this:

EVA80000_10 auto:cdsdisk pt_dwhdg146_05 pt_dwhdg146 online
nohotuse

XP10K-12K0_0 auto:none - - online invalid

And the arrays look like this:

# vxdmpadm listenclosure all

ENCLR_NAME ENCLR_TYPE ENCLR_SNO STATUS ARRAY_TYPE

========================================================================
====

EVA80000 EVA8000 50001FE15005E900 CONNECTED
A/A-A-HP

Disk Disk DISKS CONNECTED Disk

XP10K-12K0 XP10K-12K 0000F CONNECTED A/A

I didn't dare to put the weird disk to the disk group so that's why it's
not initialized.

I've already tried vxdisk rm'ing the weird disk and scanning disks again
but the datype persists. Has anyone encountered anything similar before?

Thank you,

Jarkko
