Can i restore from tape



Dear Gurus

One of our co-workers , forget to load tape in
nigthtly backup , but when i put tape in morning to
restore some data without knowing the script was
waiting for nightly backup is still waiting for tale ,
it overwrite my data , i interrepted the backup

but now i can see new data is being written using tar
tvf /dev/rmt/0 and also i got EOF file error

Can i restore data . Is there still data in tape ?

Please help gurus
