Services question

Hello everyone,
I am using Solaris 8 on an Ultra 10 as an all in one services server for the company. It does
NIS, DNS, NTP, SUNLink(sorta like SAMBA), and licenses. This machine actually has a script that
pushes out the updated maps and DNS entries to other offices globally that are also using
Solaris 8 on Ultra 10. We are thinking of replacing this system and I wanted to know how do
other companies manage their services? Do you use Linux, Windows, or the same current system I
am using? I am looking for suggestions to look into so I could retire the services from this
system.
