Missing Directory - Recovery

Does anyone know of a way to recover a directory without a backup??? ;)

So in theory if an rm was used to remove a directory this deletes the
pointers and the data is still physically there..........

So the pointers are gone.... Any way to recover these????? Easily that is,
no forensic disk examinations..
