problem in accessing input device on Ultra60

Hi Guru's,
I am not able to access an Ultra60 Keyboard it throws an error
"Invalid tty input device not found" ( not the exact phrases )
In spite of me trying with three different sets of keyboards ( the LEDs
on the key board do blink of when the system is rebooted)
Could some one help me out...
