Unable to Assign IP Address

Hi
i have installed solaris 10 in x86 machine ,in which i already have
windows 2000 OS Running.
Now ,when i login in WINDOWS i am able to connect to internet .
But when i login in SOLARIS i am unble to cennect internet,this is because i
am unable to assign IP ADDRESS to it.
Only *lo0* interface is available if i type *ifconfig - a* and not the ip
address that i assigned to the machine in windows.

i have INTEL R PRO/100 VE DESKTOP ADAPTER


WHEN I TYPE svcs - xv I GET

SVC:/network/physical.default(physical network interfaces)
state: mantenance since the last date and time i logged in
Reason :start method exited with $SMF_EXIT_ERR_CONFIG
impact: 12 dependant services are not running

these displayed in the screen after i executed the command

svcs -xv

could anyone help me out in this regard
