Hi
We have a handful x4100 systems running at 1000/full
We have seen that the network interface sometimes drops under load
You just see the interface come back up in the messages file:
Jul 27 15:25:57 fnet-fred1 e1000g: [ID 801593 kern.notice] NOTICE:
pci8086,1011 - e1000g[0] : Adapter 1000Mbps full duplex copper link is up.
We have set the switch port to Auto-negotiate and have changed the
e1000g.conf thus: (autoneg and advertise 1000/full):
ForceSpeedDuplex=7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7,7;
AutoNegAdvertised=32;
The system has a recent patch cluster
I have just applied patch 125121-03 in the hope that this mght help.
We never see this problem on systems running at 100/full. Has anyone seen
similar behaviour to this?
Thanks,
Mike.
