mounting cdrom on cygwin

hi
I'm sharing out my cdrom on my windows box via cgywin
for solaris 9 boxes to nfs mount. I can mount ( mount
ip:/cygdrive/i /cd) and see it fine but it sees it in
capitals and shortnames - eg.
# ls
COMPANIO CONTENT_ DOCUMENT FR_SERVI REPCA
RR_MOVED UPGRADE_
I'm thinking i'm missing an option somewhere but
haven't been able to work out where.
